Bob and Gerry Johnson
"We have beautiful views of the water, and the sunsets are unbelievable!"
Fate is how Bob and Gerry Johnson say they came upon buying their new Charleston condominium at Reverie on the Ashley. After moving down to Kiawah from the north in 1991, the Johnsons fell in love with the South Carolina coast, "It reminds us of our homes on the water we both had growing up," said Gerry.
As time passed, the Johnsons realized that living all the way out in Kiawah was becoming somewhat of an inconvenience. After an unsuccessful search for the perfect home on James Island, in 2004 they finally found their match in a Reverie on the Ashley ad they found in their mailbox one destined afternoon. "Nobody else got the letter that day, it was just us," said Bob. "So we called down there immediately and said we would be there in an hour to check the place out. They didn't even have any models to show us at the time, but with just one look at the water during sunset, we were sold."
Shortly after their visit, the Johnsons purchased a beautiful condo with the Stono floor plan on the fourth floor of Building Two. "I love gardening on the rooftop terrace and spending time in our spa looking out over the Ashely," says Gerry. She also enjoys hosting parties for friends and family with the use of her new gourmet kitchen. The Johnsons happily look back on the day they discovered Reverie and realized they could own private waterfront real estate in Charleston. "We have beautiful views, the water, and we are closer than ever to the things we love to do."
