Cecil Camacho and Janet Shepard
"The water is just so peaceful. We love coming home to this view everyday."
While Janet and Cecil grew up in two totally different areas of the country, they both had something in common from their childhood: a love of water.
Janet grew up boating on Lake Ontario during summer camp and Cecil grew up on Panama City Beach. Both agree the water is something they will have near them wherever they live. It was Reverie's location on the Ashley River that was the main draw for these two. “I had been looking for probably three or four years since I moved down here for something on the water, because the water is just so peaceful and I love being around it,” said Janet. “We saw Reverie from our boat at Duncan's Marine and we just came in and it was like we knew this was where we had to be.”
Cecil agreed, adding that Reverie's natural setting was also a big factor in their decision to buy. The couple recently moved into Building Three and have enjoyed the serenity of living at Reverie next to the water's edge. “We liked the fact that it was a very natural setting out here, and that they didn't come in and plow down everything and disturb the natural surroundings,” said Cecil. “It's just really nice that you're still in an affluent setting but right next to nature.”
“That's unprecedented in Charleston condominiums, because they usually come in and clean slate,” agreed Janet. “It's like the ad says, it's the best kept secret in Charleston.”
Janet says Reverie's location was also a huge plus because it cut her commute time in half and put her closer to her daughter. Cecil's commute was also shortened, but it's still the water that they are most thankful for.
“Every day we get home to see this view and just relax,” said Cecil. “We're able to sit down and watch the river."
